When I'm not teaching ceramics, which is what I do most of the time, I'm either working in my ceramic studio or clowning.
I've been a fan of the contemporary circus for a long time, which is where I discovered clowning many years ago. After many workshops, experimenting and just playing around, I became in touch with my interior clown, as they say. (You probably have one too!) Clowning is theatre, but the clown persona comes from within and thrives on the interaction with the audience. For me a clown makes us laugh because he or she has an eye for the absurd which mimics reality, or is it the other way around? And of course, what is reality?
I'm also known as Momo; who is a director for a home for abandoned umbrellas and enjoys telling the stories of his resident umbrellas. I'm still working closely with some of them! I've only recently developed the Trudy character working with the adaptation of Jane Wagners' "The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe."
Trudy would love to play in other venues, parties, cocktails, fundraisers, theatres or Broadway, for example.
Let me know if you would be interested, and I can contact her.
